Minty Green Smoothie

Mint has been used medicinally for thousands of years to aid digestion and to reduce inflammation such as found in IBS. Use mint in this smoothie as a way to reduce inflammation internally, and as a result, a reduction of inflamed acne breakouts.

Ingredients

15-20 mint leaves, rinsed

  • 3 cups spinich or kale, veins removed
  • 1/4 hass avocado
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 dash vanilla extract, organic if possible
  • 1-2 scoops vegan protein powder (avoid dairy)
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1 tsp cocoa nibs (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 handful ice

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender
  • Blend well and serve
